Kevin Riedel Memorial Hike
WVSTA will hold the Kevin Riedel Memorial Hike in Section 4 at Hanging Rock. Kevin was a dedicated WVSTA volunteer, a great carpenter, accomplished hiker, wonderful friend and always added joy to campfires chats.

There will be two hiking options. For both options we will meet at Hanging Rock Trailhead.

The first group will meet at 7 am and shuttle to the start along VA-613.

The second group will meet at 1 pm and hike to the tower to meet with the first group.

The first group will start at VA-613 North Fork Mountain Rd and hike 10 miles to Hanging Rock Trailhead. We will stop at the Hanging Rock Tower for a memorial service for Kevin and then hike down to the trailhead.

We will camp at Moncove Lake State Park and have a cookout.

On Sunday morning, we will do a sunrise hike to the tower
