Hanging Rock Vista

Trail Description

Hanging Rock Observatory is considered one of the crown jewels of the Allegheny Trail, drawing both migrating raptors and day hikers throughout the year. A pit toilet is located near the observation tower, and cell service is available in the area. Southbound hikers leave Limestone Hill Road and transition onto singletrack trail, while northbound hikers turn left onto Limestone Hill Road and descend toward Gap Mills.

Parking & Access

• Accessible from Limestone Hill Road
• Parking available for approximately 10–12 vehicles
• Trailhead begins on the east side of the parking lot
