When I’m not volunteering or hiking on the Allegheny Trail, I work as a grant coordinator at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, and I am a graduate student in biostatistics at the University of Louisville. My favorite trail food is a peanut butter and jerky wrap (don’t knock it ’til you try it) and my favorite hike other than the ALT is the High Rocks trail on Cranberry Mountain in the southern Mon. Volunteering with WVSTA has given me several opportunites to expand my skill set. In the past year, I was invited to attend trail building workshops led by the OEDC, and I became a USFS-certified sawyer. What motivates me to continue volunteering is spending time with the wonderful people that come together to support our shared cause
